CiteULike is a web-based storage application for the journal articles you are interested in. It is currently free, and has very flexible search and post capabilities. It takes a huge amount of time to keep up with all of the current journals, and to filter out the articles that are pertinent to veterinary radiology. This is especially important for veterinary radiology residents who are preparing for written board exams! CiteULike supports searching in many journals pertaining to veterinary medicine, but lacks JAVMA and JAVR. You can manually enter articles from other sites if they are not supported as direct import. There is even a function to export the citations to Endnote and BibTex, if you have those services.
This is a valuable collaborative tool that could function as a journal club for radiology residents, clinicians and radiologists. There is room to comment on each article, and to rate its importance. I’ve started a group called VetRadiology; anyone can join and see what is posted. I encourage you to add to the listings, and let the community know what is current research in veterinary radiology. I will post selected articles at the beginning of each month, but they are by no means all that is out there. Happy reading!
