Today’s case is a 15 year old female neutered poodle presenting for being acutely non-ambulatory and painful. Previously treated for lymphoma. This is a subtle lesion, can you find it?
There is discontinuity of the left lateral and cranial aspect of the C2 vertebral lamina, best seen on the ventrodorsal projections.There is lucency of the surrounding bone and mild periosteal proliferation on the caudal fragment. No other abnormalities are seen in the vertebral column or soft tissues.
Aggressive bone lesion with pathologic fracture, most likely neoplastic.
