Today’s case is a 2-year-old male neutered domestic shorthair cat. Suspected trauma. What type of fracture is this?
There is a complete fracture of the distal femoral physis with lateral and proximal displacement of the epiphysis. The metaphysis is mildly irregular, and a small mineral opacitye is present on the medial cortex.
Type I Salter-Harris fracture of the distal femoral physis.
