Today’s case is a 1-year-old male neutered Bengal cat with grade 4/6 holosystolic heart murmur and increased respiratory rate. What is your radiographic diagnosis?
The cardiac silhouette is enlarged on all projections. The pulmonary vasculature is distended, and there is patchy interstitial to alveolar pattern in the left and right cranial lung lobes as well as the dependent portion of the right caudal lung lobe.
Congenital cardiac disease with heart failure.
Aortic stenosis with heart failure.
Valvular and supravalvular aortic stenosis was diagnosed on echocardiography. The left atrium was enlarged and there was concentric left ventricular hypertrophy with mitral and aortic valve insufficiency.
