The stomach contains a small amount of mineral material. The small intestine has mildly gas filled loops in the caudal abdomen and normal sized loops in the ventral abdomen. The colon is filled with gas and fluid. There is a round soft tissue opacity mass in the ventral abdomen superimposed on the enlarged spleen. The liver is mildly enlarged with rounded borders.
Necrotic lipoma
-A necrotic lipoma was found on exploratory laparotomy. There was no evidence of small intestinal obstruction. The liver biopsy showed mild degenerative change.
